Remote Control was set up in 2001 by Harvey Saward and Steve Cross. The company provides publicity, label management, distribution and marketing services to international and local artists and labels.
International
Remote Control’s current roster of international artists includes Aldous Harding, ANOHNI, Big Thief, black midi, Dry Cleaning, Future Islands, Kamasi Washington, The National, Queens Of The Stone Age, Radiohead, Sampha, Sleaford Mods, Spoon, The Smile, The xx, Yaeji and many other incredible artists.
Remote Control represents the Beggars Group in Australia and New Zealand, including 4AD, Matador Records, Rough Trade, XL Recordings & Young. We also provide marketing and publicity services for Omnian Music Group (Captured Tracks, 2MR, Sinderlyn) and Secret City Records.
Dot Dash Recordings
In 2004 we established the Dot Dash record label, exclusively for Australian acts, now with the addition of New Zealand in 2019. The current Dot Dash roster includes Carla Geneve, Donny Benét, Dorsal Fins, Ex-Olympian, friendships, Gena Rose Bruce, HANDSOME, Huntly, Jeremy Neale, Jess Locke, Memphis LK, Ngaiire, Obscura Hail, Soaked Oats, Sui Zhen, Sunbeam Sound Machine and Total Giovanni.
Dot Dash’s physical releases will be distributed in the UK, Europe and the Republic of Ireland via UK’s largest independent distributor, Proper Music Group.
Australian & New Zealand
Remote Control also works in partnership with a number of independent Australian and New Zealand labels including Milk! Records, Barely Dressed, Part Time Records, Pool House, Prince Melon and Club Seven providing support to artists including Courtney Barnett, Ed Kuepper, Dyson Stringer Cloher, Magic Dirt, Wolf & Cub, Jess Ribeiro and many more.
