Palma Violets have shared the official video for current single “On The Beach,” taken from their second album Danger In The Club which was released earlier this year on Rough Trade / Remote Control. The clip was shot on East Wittering Beach in West Sussex and is a nod to Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band’s 1968 performance on the beach in Cannes, France.
On the making of the video, Sam Fryer of the band explains: “Our friend, long-term collaborator and creator of the original Best of Friends video Jim Tobias returned to direct the “On The Beach” video for us. We wanted to create something live, simple, intense and low-grade with a summertime feel, but in a very British and overcast way.”
