We are proud as punch to announce the debut single from 22 year old New Orleans based singer-songwriter Benjamin Booker ‘Violent Shiver’ via Rough Trade / RCR

Booker’s debut is due to be released later this year with production from Andrija Tokic (Alabama ShakesHurray for the Riff Raff)

Booker is also touring with our own courtney barnett on her US tour dates in May.

Recently Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes joined the likes of Jim James (My Morning Jacket), John Oates (Hall & Oates), Larry Graham (Sly and the Family Stone, Grand Central Station) and Zigaboo Modeliste (The Meters) for a very special performance known as the Rock & Soul Superjam at Bonnaroo 2013.

The below video is a preview of an eight piece documentary which tells the story of how these extraordinary musicians, most of whom had never played together, performed a two hour set live after only a few days of rehearsal. Each piece of the documentary will showcase one song from the epic Rock & Soul Superjam that took place at Bonnaroo 2013.
