Remote Control Music is a newly established music publishing division aimed at supporting Australian songwriters. Remote Control Music is a joint venture with independent publisher Beggars Music, which has offices in London, New York and Los Angeles.  Australian artists signed to Remote Control Music will seamlessly plug-in to the worldwide structure offered by Beggars Music.

Remote Control Music represents Beggars Music’s catalogue in Australia and New Zealand.  Beggars Music works in partnership with XL Recordings, 4AD, Matador, Rough Trade, Stolen and Young Turks. Their impressive roster of artists includes Car Seat Headrest, Cat Power, Kurt Vile, Empress Of, Glass Animals, Sampha, and Warpaint, alongside successful soundtrack composers Mica Levi and The Haxan Cloak.

Head of Creative & Licensing Jill Stewart will head the operation in Australia. Jill has an extensive background in music supervision, licensing and film production. She has represented both local and international catalogues over the past 5 years as the Licensing Manager at Remote Control. Prior to Remote Control, she worked with Music Mill as a music coordinator and began her career in the film industry as a music editor and sound designer.
