Out now: Jen Cloher’s self-titled album

Jen Cloher releases her self-titled album. Four albums into her career, this is Cloher at her most incisive and witty, cutting and expressive. She’s delivered her best album yet.

An album which plays it fearlessly close to the bone, with raw, unflinching dissections of her life, love, and Australia, Jen Cloher is the culmination of a period of artistic and personal growth in which the artist took her rightful place as a punk-rock figurehead of Australia’s famous DIY music scene.

Recorded amidst the rolling greenery of Gippsland, Victoria and mixed at Jeff Tweedy’s famous Loft Studios in Chicago, the songs are split by Courtney Barnett’s extraordinary lead guitar and anchored by the rhythm section of Bones Sloane and Jen Sholakis.

Cloher and her band will tour behind the album in September, taking in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne before heading to Europe and the USA for an extensive run of dates. Further details below!
