Methyl announce album tour + share ‘L’Heure des Sorcières’

Remote Control Records, triple j, Dot Dash and Village Sounds are excited to announce the Australian album tour for Methyl Ethel. Spanning the month of May, the album tour will showcase brand new music from forthcoming record Everything Is Forgotten which will be released on Friday 3rd March via Dot Dash / Remote Control. See the full tour dates and ticket info below.

To mark today’s announcement, the band have shared a new album track ‘L’Heure des Sorcières’. Meaning ‘The Witches’ Hour’ in French, the track demonstrates a side of the band that is dark and fantastical, Webb’s filtered vocal descending low into the mix to erupt soaring over a surging, foreboding arrangement. It’s an arrangement that heralds a band transformed. With the addition of a keyboard player to the live set up, Methyl Ethel return to the stage, equipped with the same charisma, but having honed in on the sonic heights reached on Everything Is Forgotten.

With shows this week having sold out in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, the band will spend March and April on their world tour across Europe and North America. Come late April, Methyl Ethel will return to home soil, playing Groovin’ The Moo 2017 and album shows in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane with Everything Is Forgotten fully realised as a live experience.
