Sampha has released a brand new single ‘(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano’. At once both emotionally raw and achingly beautiful, the track is a tribute to the piano that sat in Sampha’s south London family home from the age of three – a piano on which he wrote much of his highly anticipated forthcoming debut album Process, out Friday 3rd February via Young Turks / Remote Control Records.
Produced by Sampha and Rodaidh McDonald, Process is set to be Sampha’s defining artist statement. As one of the UK’s most enigmatic young artists, Sampha previously lent his vocal, production and songwriting talents to a whole range of standout releases, from homegrown UK contemporaries such asSBTRKT, FKA twigs, Lil Silva and Jessie Ware to world-renowned superstars like Drake, Beyonce,Kanye West, Frank Ocean and most recently on Solange’s A Seat At The Table album. Now, onProcess – which also features previous singles ‘Timmy’s Prayer‘ and ‘Blood On Me‘ – it’s time forSampha to tell his own story.
2016 has seen Sampha become one of the most in-demand new live acts around, with two London shows at Corsica Studios and The Electric Brixton selling out in a matter of minutes. The world wide tour dates include Sampha‘s debut Australian shows in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane set for May 2017. Tickets via handsometours.com
