The legends Beirut have shared new song and video ‘Gibraltar.’ Joining forces once more with Brother Willis (makers of the kaleidoscopic video for ‘No No No’), and interested by the idea of a setting beside the sea and “the massive island of trash which is growing and floating out in the Pacific.” ‘Gibraltar’ follows Beirut leader Zach Condon and band members Paul Collins and Nick Petree picking their way through a fantasy Gibraltar to meet its ‘Rock’.

Our pal Jeremy Neale has shared his brand new vid for ‘Hold On Together’ with the help of Fasterlouder.
Jeremy spoke about the video and said why wanted to create an awkward clip. “I saw this amazing video of Mireille Matthieu and Patrick Duffy performing their song “Together We’re Strong” on an 80s variety show and it was just so incredibly awkward that I wanted us to have a go at something similar. I sent the example to the director Jennifer Embelton and she sent mentioned framing it from a film crews’ perspective ie. “I’ve Told Every Little Star” from Mulholland Drive.”
“After a bunch of excited brainstorming and Jen being a total ace director, here’s what we ended up with. You can’t even tell I’d dislocated my knee the day before and had to stand on one leg for most of the shots. That’s the magic of cinema y’see. I hope you enjoy it!”
Watch the video below.
The track is out now via Dot Dash / Remote Control Records and you can grab it on iTunes or listen to the banger on all good streaming services.

To celebrate the band have shared their video for Love Like Mine. The band described the making behind the video here: “This is our first clip with Welcome to Cult/Dimitri Basil, one of our favourite up-and-coming directors/production groups. They came to us with a concept where the camera didn’t move the whole clip and I thought it was definitely risky, but it’s also an interesting limitation to work with. Clips these days are always so intense and fast paced so it’s a breath of fresh air to see something that keeps you watching without having to try so hard.”
All Possible Futures is out now digitally and in all good record stores. To pre-order vinyl go here
