Courtney Barnett charts at #4 on ARIAs and #10 in the US

We’ve been celebrating over at Remote Control HQ because Courtney Barnett has debuted at #4 on the ARIA charts and #10 in the US!!

She also peaked at #1 on the AIR Independent Music Charts for her debut album.

Ceremony release double video for The Separation + The Understanding

Ceremony are back!

The band have announced the release of their fifth studio album out Friday 15th May. To celebrate the band have shared a mega video for two of their killer tracks The Separation and The Understanding. Watch the video below!

The album uses singer Ross Farrar’s recent breakup as a platform to explore loneliness and emotional weariness. “A lot of the content has to do with loss, and specifically the loss of someone who you care deeply about,” Farrar says. “There is no way for you to go through something like this artistically and not have really strong emotions of loss and pain. There’s not really any way to hide that.”

Listen to The Mountain Goats’ album ‘Beat The Champ’

YES! The Mountain Goats have shared their new album early via Rolling Stone.

Beat The Champ is the band’s 15th album! It is also a killer collection of 12 tracks that focus on professional wrestling!

“I wrote these songs to re-immerse myself in the blood and fire of the visions that spoke to me as a child, and to see what more there might be in them now that I’m grown,” Darnielle says of Beat The Champ.

The album is out officially out tomorrow Friday 3 April.

Jamie xx announces new album and shares video for ‘Loud Places’

Oh my gosh.

Jamie xx has been keeping busy. He has just shared a brand new killer video and track ‘Loud Places.’ The single features Jamie’s bandmate Romy Madley Croft from The xx. The clip features Romy and Jamie skating around London. Listen to the track below.

Jamie has also shared his album opener ‘Gosh.’

Both of these killer tracks feature on his forthcoming album ‘In Colour’ which is out Friday 29th May! The album features other amazing tracks including ‘Girl’ and ‘Sleep Sound.’
