After playing to a packed crowd at Meredith Music Festival over the weekend, Jess Ribeiro has today premiered the Mikey Young remix of ‘Hurry Back To Love’ via THUMP.

Mikey describes the track: “I met Jess. She was super funny and off kilter. She said do a remix for me and make me sound like Donna Summer. So after trying to turn her into a bunch of Steve Reich tape loops for a day, I gave in and had a crack at unashamedly ripping on Moroder and Patrick Cowley as hard as I possibly could and coming up short of course but not tooooo short”

Banoffee shares video for ‘Body Suit’

Banoffee is excited to premiere the video for ‘Body Suit’ via Red Bull Music. The single comes from her stellar EP Do I Make You Nervous? out now via Dot Dash / Remote Control Records.

The video for ‘Body Suit’ was a collaborative effort. Written by Rhys Mitchell and Banoffee, directed by Rhys Mitchell, produced by Ruth Morris, and with cinematography by Jack Peddey.

The clip follows an eclectic group of characters all interpreting and judging the same presentation: A woman, alien-like and bare presenting herself to an audience.

Banoffee is cloaked in a skin of paint created by Melbourne artist, Lani Mitchell, which she uses to divide her from the scrutiny of her audience – a theme that the track touches upon lightly. Watch the incredible clip below.

Screen Shot 2015-12-09 at 3.29.44 PM

Ibeyi have shared a re-fix of their single ‘Stranger / Lover’ by Mark Ronson and a remix by Mura Masa.

Ronson worked attentively with the twins on the track as he explains, “I’ve never worked so closely with an artist when doing a remix before, it was more like producing a track from scratch than making a remix.”

Ibeyi released the Léo Bigiaoui and Maxime Baudin directed video for ‘Stranger / Lover’ earlier this year. Both remixes are available digitally now.

Since the release of their stunning, self-titled debut album in February this year, Ibeyi have been captivating audiences across the globe with their unique blend of modern pop, hip-hop and electronic influences with the traditional sounds of Yorùbá.

Ibeyi will come to Australia for the first time in March 2016 with shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne as well as performances at Perth Festival and WOMAD. Tour details here.
