NEW ALBUM FROM EMA ANNOUNCED + NEW VIDEO FOR ‘SATELLITES’

We are excited to announce EMA‘s new album ‘The Future’s Void’ will be released in Australia on Friday the 4th of April via Matador Records/Remote Control.

Last month the first single ‘Satellites’ was released to rave reviews and garnered Pitchfork‘s Best New Track.

Today also sees the debut of the video for ‘Satellites’. The video is a DIY affair from EMA and features tech features which EMA says are either “primitive or sophisticated, depending on your point of view.

CHANNEL V PREMIERE NEW SAVAGES VIDEO ‘STRIFE’

Channel V premiered the video for Savages’ track Strife today on air and online. Directed by Antoine Carlier, the video was shot in France and deals with the timeless notion of human physicality and physical expression.

WARPAINT SELF TITLED ALBUM RELEASED TODAY + SECRET SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT

WARPAINT’s second self-titled album is released in Australia today and to celebrate the LA based four-piece is thrilled to announce a very SPECIAL NEW AUSTRALIAN SHOW DATE to take place at a secret location in Sydney.
Presented by Love PoliceLaneway Presents, Oyster MagazineRemote Control Records the secret show will take place at an eerie yet beautiful location in the inner western suburbs of Sydney onWednesday 5th February.  

A very limited number of tickets are ON SALE NOW to the general public and ticket holders will be notified of the shows location at 11am on Wednesday 5th February by email & txt message. The show will be a once in a life time opportunity for fans to see Warpaint produce their hypnotic brand of indie rock in a unique and delicate setting.

WARPAINT is a Los Angeles based quartet comprised of Emily Kokal (vocals/guitar), Jenny Lee Lindberg (bass/vocals), Theresa Wayman (guitar/vocals), and Stella Mozgawa (drums). To say that this follow-up is “highly anticipated” is an understatement considering the reception that their debut received when it was released at the end of 2010.

Warpaint was co-produced by Warpaint and Flood (PJ Harvey, Sigur Ros, New Order, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Foals), and mixed by Flood and Nigel Godrich (Radiohead). The album was conceived after some writing and recording sessions that took place in The Joshua Tree late last year. Here the band was joined by visionary director Chris Cunningham who has partnered with them for many of the album visuals including the cover. He has spent the past two years filming and photographing the band as they made Warpaint.

KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM + SINGLE

KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD, the band that refuses to be defined by genre or bound by time are stoked to announce the release of their fourth LP - ODDMENTS.

The first taste of this collection of new music from the Melbourne seven piece outfit comes in the form of new single ‘VEGEMITE. Vocalist/Songwriter Stu Mckenzie says of the song:

I recorded vegemite at my parents house in Anglesea on their out-of-tune-but-exactly-a-half-step-down piano. It’s probably the most literal song I’ve ever written. I love vegemite..

Oddments will be released on Friday the 15th of February in CD & digital format and a extremely Limited Edition collectors vinyl will be available in time for Record Store Day on April 19th 2014.
